About the Event

The General Aviation Leadership Forum, held by the International Aviation Womens Association, is a full-day virtual event designed to connect, inspire and lead women across the globe. This all-aviation leadership event is exclusively organized and presented by women with exhibition booths from industry-leading companies.

This forum is not one to miss, especially for leaders of aviation and aerospace, female leaders looking to be empowered, and university students of aviation and aerospace. Three things you will get from participating are:

What to Expect

The event will open at 9:00am EST and will be available to the general public for 24-hours. You will receive an agenda for the event one week prior. There will be a number of live keynote sessions from 9:00am EST-5:00pm EST as well as access to additional on demand material including panel discussions and exhibition booths. For unlimited access to all materials beyond the 24-hour window, purchase a VIP Pass.

Keynote sessions by women that will inspire all leaders.

With speakers such as Tammy Barlette, former fighter pilot, attendees of the 2020 GA Forum will be inspired to tap into their social courage, lead from within their workplaces, and drive innovation in their industries.

Panel discussions held by women on all things aviation.

Attendees will be able to choose their own journey, watching on demand panels of women discussing topics such as “Why Women Own Planes,” “Managing a Diverse Team,” and “Unique Challenges for Female Pilots”.

Exhibition booths with the ability to interact with exhibitors.

Attendees will be able to visit interactive, virtual booths to learn more about industry-leading companies. At booths, attendees will be able to interact in real-time through media, chat, audio, and video.

Grazia Vittadini is the Chief Technology Officer of Airbus, as well as a member of the company’s Executive Committee. Listen to Grazia’s presentation on Ingenuity, Inclusion, and Building Sustainable Aerospace.

Tracey Curtis-Taylor is a British aviator who has organized and piloted multiple flight expeditions with historic aircraft across Asia, Europe, Africa, Australia and America. Hear from her as she opens the conference talking about adventure.

Deidra is the Business Accelerator™ Program Coordinator for Michael Hyatt & Co. Her in-depth experience of coaching and our Michael Hyatt & Company products allows her to give quality, customized care to our clients. In her session, she will discuss the importance of work, life balance.

Sylvia Acevedo is an American engineer, businesswoman, and executive. She is Chief Executive Officer of the Girl Scouts of the USA. In her keynote, she will discuss the critical role of mentorship.

Use this time to explore the industry-leading companies in the exhibit hall and watch some of the 20+ panel discussions covering topics such as “Empowering Entrepreneurs by Building Their Financial Savvy,” “Combatting Bullying and Sexual Harassment,” “Dropping Joy: The Ins and Outs of Skydiving Operations,” and “Building Resiliency in Difficult Times”.

Amy Bruske is a sought-after speaker for Fortune 500 companies, associations, and entrepreneurial organizations in a variety of industries, and a Principal and President of Kolbe Corp. Specializing in HR consulting and leadership development, she is one of the company’s three Senior Master Consultants and is also in demand for executive coaching and team building for a wide range of businesses around the world. Currently, Amy is publishing a book on successful family owned businesses. In this session, Amy will discuss the importance of unconventional diversity within a team.

Tammy Barlette is a retired Lieutenant Colonel and fighter pilot with over 3000 flying hours. She graduated from US Air Force Pilot Training in 2000 and went on to fly the T-37 A-10 MQ-1 MQ-9 and T-38. Tammy and her husband reside in Tucson, AZ with their three children.  She is also co-founder of Athena’s Voice, a speaking business featuring 12 female fighter pilots who share powerful stories of triumph, struggle and courage with organizations across the country. In this keynote, she shares the power of creating an inclusive organizational culture.
